This city is full of rich history, vibrant culture, and unforgettable experiences. From stunning architecture to lively festivals and mouthwatering cuisine, Seville has something for everyone. Get ready to be inspired as we delve into the heart of this remarkable city. Let's embark on a virtual adventure through the wonders of Seville together.

I swear, every street here is gorgeous.
Important Things to Know
It’s SUPER hot
It was 35 degrees pretty much every day when we were there and that was in May. In the summer it's often 40-45 degrees. There’s also no water or beach here so just keep that in mind if you are wanting to visit in the summer.
The city is very walkable
We actually never took public transit here. We found the city very walkable. We just split an Uber to get to and from the train station but that was pretty much it.

Purchase tickets in advance
For attractions such as the Royal Alcázar and Catedral de Sevilla, I recommend booking your tickets in advance. The lines can be very long in person and often tickets are more expensive.
Seville is a great base for day trips
Seville is amazing, you definitely need a few days to explore here. However, it is also close to so many amazing other southern cities. From Seville, you can make a quick day trip to Cádiz, Córdoba, and The White Towns. If I ever go back I will definitely stay in Seville and visit these towns.
Where to Stay
We stayed at Apartamento Centro Santa Catalina in the Santa Catalina area. We found this area to be great and a close walk to many of the city's destinations. Our apartment was great, a gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, shared porch and private balcony overlooking the Church of Santa Catalina. The apartment had laundry which was super helpful. Our apartment was right next to several restaurants and bars. Overall it was a great place to stay for our trip.

Visit the Plaza de España
Plaza de España in Seville is a stunning architectural masterpiece that showcases the city's culture and history with its impressive structures, bridges, and colourful tile work. Here you can walk around the plaza, go inside the building and rent a row boat to paddle up the water along the Plaza de España. This was a highlight for Seville for sure.

You can rent row boats at the plaza for only €6!

This place is so beautiful!
Check out the Cathedral de Sevilla and Climb La Giralda tower
This Gothic church is stunning from the outside and inside. This cathedral is renowned for its towering Giralda bell tower, stunning architectural details, and is the final resting place of Christopher Columbus. Make sure to check out their visiting hours before you go. They open pretty late in the morning and close early in the afternoon!

Horse Carriage Ride
This was another trip highlight! At the Cathedral de Sevilla, we booked a carriage ride and it was totally worth it. The carriage takes you all around the city and you get to see all of the attractions listed above. We were touring around for close to an hour, and it was only about €12. Just go to the Cathedral and you can book a tour right outside the church.

We felt like we were in a fairy tale!
